
Our groups offer a way to learn new skills, share knowledge or just pursue an interest or hobby with others. It's the perfect opportunity to do what you enjoy and make friends at the same time.
Some groups are Facebook based, but most involve meeting up on a regular basis.
Groups are free to FiFi members, although there may be charges for materials.
Groups that feed the soul

Brewers Group (beer appreciation)
The group meets once a month, usually on a Wednesday evening, and tastes a variety of beers from a specific brewery or on a specific theme. Definitely one for anyone who likes trying different beers in a convivial environment. Partners very welcome.
Gardening
Gardening is definitely good for the soul. Whether you want to transform your garden or just swap some seeds this group is for you. It meets monthly and covers a wide range of topics and skills.
Oil Painting
Whether you are a regular or occasional painter, or would like to learn to paint, come along and have a go! All the materials are provided for a small contribution. One of our most popular groups


Sewing Group
This group meets monthly to share skills and expertise and to try out new things. Come and be inspired to get creative.


Travel Group
This group shares practical and interesting advice on all kinds of travel destinations. Articles are first published in our monthly newsletter and are then available to members as a reference as and when they wish to travel to particular destinations in the future. A very useful resource!
What’s Cooking?
From sushi to samosas, pasta to cake pops, learn how to cook something new. The group holds varied cooking workshops throughout the year at members' houses. Sessions to date include samosas, curries, pasta, 'pastis' (not the drink!) and biscuits


Grand Crew (wine appreciation)
This group meets regularly to taste wines from a chosen region or grape variety. and choose their favourite on the night. It's interesting to see who likes what. and why! Partners very welcome.
Women Matter
This group focuses on all aspects of women's wellbeing and provides a safe and secure place where members can be frank and honest about all issues related to women's health and wellbeing. It's informative, interesting but, above all, supportive.
